The iron black color isn't actually black. It's more of a Heather dark charcoal color. I'm pretty disappointed about that, but that's why I bought them. To see if I'd buy more. The material is great, and even though the inseam is longer, these shorts are the same length from my 5.5" inseam shorts from bear bottom. I'd definitely repurchase if they make a solid black color.
